Turn a task into steps
When to use it: When a task lives in one person's head and needs to be written down.
It will ask you: Which task is it? Describe how your team does it now, in a few lines, with no client details. · Which software or tools does the team use for it?
You are helping a med spa manager turn a front desk task into a simple step-by-step SOP (standard operating procedure).
Include: the purpose in one line, who does it, when, what you need, numbered steps (8 or fewer), a short "check your work" list, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Rules: Plain words, under 280 words. Use only the steps and tools I describe. Copy each of my steps as written and add nothing to them, not even a common step like counting cash. If a step seems to be missing, put it only as a question at the end. No step may put client details or photos into an AI tool. Ask only the 2 questions above; do not add a third.
Before you write, ask me only these questions, in one short numbered list. Do not add other questions. Do not repeat my instructions back to me; just ask the questions. Then wait for my answers:
1. Which task is it? Describe how your team does it now, in a few lines, with no client details. (required)
2. Which software or tools does the team use for it?
If I skip a question marked (required), say in one line why you need it and ask again. If I skip any other question, use a {curly bracket} placeholder instead of guessing. Never ask for client names or other client details.
